Heinrich Bach

Heinrich Bach ( born September 16, 1615 Wechmar; † July 10, 1692 in Arnstadt ) was a German organist of the Bach family.

Life

Henry is the father of the so-called Arnstädter line. After the early death of his father, his eldest brother John took over the further education and instructed him in playing the organ. With him, he moved to Suhl ( Stadtpfeifer Hoffmann) and Schweinfurt. 1635, he joined headed by Johann Erfurt town musicians - Compagnie and was from 1635 to 1641 Council musician in Erfurt. In 1641 he obtained the post of organist at Arnstadt Liebfrauen and upper church, which he provided to his death. In 1642 he married the younger daughter of Eva Suhler city Piper Hoffmann.
