Heinrich von Laufenberg

Heinrich von Laufenberg (* around 1390 possibly in Freiburg, † March 31, 1460 in Strasbourg ) was a priest and author in Switzerland and West Germany.

Life and work

1445 stepped Henry, who is attested from 1433 to 1434 in Zofingen as dean and otherwise as dean in Freiburg im Breisgau, in the St. John "Zum Grünen Wörth " Order of Malta in Strasbourg.

Henry's extensive body of work was largely lost in the fire of the Strasbourg city library in the German -Prussian War in 1870.

He is the Author of the text of the hymns Oh dear Lord Jesus Christ ( EC 468 ) and I wish that I would daheime (EC 517).
