Heinrich Waderé

Heinrich Wadere ( born July 2, 1865 in Colmar, † February 27, 1950 in Munich) was a German sculptor and medalist.

Life

After an apprenticeship in a wood carving workshop Wadere studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Among his teachers was Syrius Eberle.

Services

In 1900 he was appointed professor of figural sculpture at the Academy of Applied Arts in Munich. There he presented among others in Munich Glass Palace. From this time its close connection come to the woodcarving school in Oberammergau. He was known primarily for medals and monuments in the neoclassical style. The Attika figures above the portico of the Prince Regent Theatre come from him.

He was a member of the Munich school.
