Heinrichswalde

Heinrichswalde is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald in eastern Mecklenburg -Vorpommern. Until 31 December 2004, the municipality was the administrative center of the homonymous Office. It now belongs to the Official Torgelow - Ferdinandshof with headquarters in the city Torgelow.

Geography

Heinrichswalde located in a forested landscape north of Brohm Mountains and the southern boundary of Friedlander Great meadow with the Galenbecker lake.

History

The name was bestowed by King Friedrich Wilhelm I in honor of the general tenant of this area, Henrici.

The village was created as part of the colonization of Frederick the Great in 1737 as the Office Vorwerk Torgelow. 1748 colonists came from southern Germany (so-called Palatine ), where accommodation, arable and meadow land, exemption from military service and freedom of religion had been promised. As the six farmers, six half farmers and 18 Kossäten arrived in Heinrichswalde, they had to clear before even contrary to the promise their country; after them the land was surveyed by the farmers-general Henrici not according Pomeranian measure, but according to Magdeburg measure what 7000 m² of arable land meant for each pawn down.

In addition to this fraud of the farmers-general Henrici urged the lease in Brandenburg coins, their hard work was rewarded but in Sundische shillings, so they had to accept losses in exchange. In their privilege no services at the farm Heinrichswalde were mentioned, Henrici jun. yet she demanded of the settlers. The Pomeranian War and Domain Chamber in Szczecin and the colonists had a decades- long dispute in this matter. In 1771 the Speaker of Heinrichswalde, Wittmann, Lauffer and Greiner, detained temporarily. The farmers also switched the General Directorate in Berlin and King Frederick II in their dispute.

The new farmer-general Ingermann tried using also Pasewalker dragoons to force the peasants to the Natural services. Finally, the dispute in 1774 came to an end: in absorbed. Hofbriefen ( deeds) they received their possessions confirmed as property. However, services were, albeit heavily discounted, fixed for the outworks William Castle and Mühlenhof.

In 1954, the unique natural beauty around Heinrichswalde ( Galenbecker lake ) was visited by Helmut Drechsler and described in the book Wild Swans on Uhlenhorst. In return, the former head of fdgb Harry Tisch, who was born in Heinrichswalde, later an exclusive hunting area set up in this natural area for the GDR elite, to which the citizens of Heinrichswalde had no access.

Since the turn much has been done to improve the townscape. Since 1992, the center ( sidewalks, street lighting) has been extensively renovated with the help of urban development. The renewals also concerned the daycare and the volunteer fire department. In the county, state and federal competition "Our village is beautiful " Heinrichswalde was able to achieve very good results. In the municipality of transportation, construction and electric companies are based.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 18 December 1996 by the Home Office and registered under No. 120 of the coat of arms role of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Blazon: " Argent, over blue Wellenschildfuß, in a silver pike with black markings, a torn, green leafy and fertilized black oak; surmounted by a flying up black and silver eagles. "
