Heinz Aldinger

Heinz Aldinger ( born January 7, 1933 in Waiblingen ) is a former German football referee.

Aldinger headed 1968-1981 a total of 136 games in the Bundesliga and 1974-1981 49 games in the 2nd Bundesliga. He became one of the most enduring German referee in the 1970s. Highlights of his career were the nominations for the DFB Cup final in 1972 and 1980. Aldinger From 1973 to 1981 was also a FIFA referee. He led a total of 18 European Cup games, including the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup 1977/78 and 12 A- internationals. Aldinger was referee at the European Football Championship in Italy in 1980 and led the first group match between Belgium and England. With the Football World Cup 1974 in Germany, he served in two games as a linesman.

Made famous is his statement in a match of the 1st FC Cologne in the 1970s. Wolfgang Overath did not agree with the decisions Aldinger and told him: You've probably just your weak ten minutes. Aldinger showed the Cologne director does not yellow, but replied: And you, Overathle, since 70 minutes 've been playing shit!
