Heinz Hermann ( born March 28, 1958 in Zurich ) is a former Swiss football national player and current football coach.

Player

Heinz Hermann changed on 1 July 1977 in the city of Zurich FC Seefeld for Grasshopper Club Zurich. He was four times Champion and one cup winners. At the end of the season 1984/85 he moved to Neuchâtel Xamax. Further stations of midfielder were Servette FC and FC Aarau. From 1984 to 1988, he was elected five times in a row Footballer of the Year. In the course of his career, he won six league titles and a Cup Winner was.

With 118 caps (15 goals) 1978-1991 for Switzerland before he is Alain Geiger and Stéphane Chapuisat most-capped player. His first international match Hermann completed in September 1978 in a 2-0 win against the United States. In November 1991 he finished after a 0-1 defeat against Romania on his international career.

Coach

His positions as manager used to be the SR Delémont ( as coach ) and FC Basel ( first director of sport, then interim coach, U21 coach, and then the U -17). Hermann has the UEFA Pro Licence.

In the 2007 /08 season Hermann coached the Challenge League club FC Vaduz and rose to the Axpo Super League. He succeeds Hanjo Weller, who took over on an interim basis as coach after the dismissal of Mats Gren. On 4 November 2008 the FC Vaduz announced his leave of absence until the contract expires. He was replaced by former German international Pierre Littbarski.
