Heinz Oestergaard

Heinz Oestergard ( born August 15, 1916 in Berlin, † 10 May 2003 in Bad Reichenhall ) was a German fashion designer.

He was considered one of the most important German fashion designer of the postwar period. After successes in Berlin, where he clothed Zarah Leander and Maria Schell, Oestergard went to Munich in 1967, was fashion manager at source and there replaced the wire used for corsetry by stretch fabric. In 1971 he designed police uniforms and the green uniforms of the German police, he also designed the dress uniform for the Federal Agency for Technical Relief.
