Heinz Weis

Heinz Weis ( * July 14, 1963 in Leiwen in Trier ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympian, who belonged in the 1980s and 1990s to the world's best hammer throwers. His greatest achievement was the world champion title in 1997.

Heinz Weis initially belonged to Germania TV 1863 Trier ( Coach: Ernst Klement † ) that from 1984, the LG Bayer Leverkusen ( Coach: Rudolf Hars †, Bernhard Riedel ). He participated in four Olympic Games, part of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In his playing days, he was 1.93 m tall, weighed 125 kg and had the shoe size 48.5. He is married and has one daughter.
