Helen Fielding

Helen Fielding ( born February 19, 1958 in Morley ) is a British author.

Life

Fielding studied English at the St Anne 's College, Oxford, and began in 1979 to work for the BBC as a reporter. Since 1985 she is committed to Comic Relief and wrote and produced, among other documentaries about Africa. In 1989 she researched for the documentation Where Hunger is a Weapon of transmitter Thames TV over the rebel war in southern Sudan. Their experiences were the basis for her first novel, Cause Celeb published in 1994, under the title lobster for dinner appeared in Germany in 2000.

From 1990 to 1999 Fielding worked as a journalist and columnist for several London newspapers, including the Sunday Times, The Independent and The Daily Telegraph. As of 1995, her columns about Bridget Jones, as the novels were 1996 and 1999, an international success appeared in the Independent.
