Helen Hill
Helen Hill ( born May 9, 1970 in Columbia, South Carolina, USA, † January 4, 2007 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States) was an American film director who mainly directed short films and animated films and was awarded several times.
Helen Hill studied English at Harvard University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA), and the Department of film and animation at the California Institute of the Arts. The mid-1990s, she directed first animated films that have been partially awarded. In 2001 she moved together with her husband Dr. Paul Gailiunas, to New Orleans, where she lived ever since.
January 4, 2007 Hill was surprised by a burglar in her home and fatally injured. Her husband was seriously injured, her son Francis Pop Gailiunas was uninjured.
