Helena of Hungary, Queen of Croatia

Yelena the Beautiful (Hungarian: Ilona, Croatian Jelena Lijepa; † around 1091 ) was Hungarian princess and by marriage Queen of Croatia.

She was a daughter of King Béla I of Hungary ( Árpád ) from his first marriage with Ryksa of Poland. Her brothers and I. Géza Ladislaus I were kings of Hungary.

She married King Dmitar Zvonimir of Croatia ( Trpimirović Dynasty, † 1089 ) with whom she was queen from 1075.

Her only son died Radovan still his father's lifetime Dmitar Zvonimir, which left no other male descendants more. After Zvonimir death Jelena was involved in the takeover of Croatian throne by the Árpád dynasty, from the existing 1102-1918 State Association of Croatia and Hungary emerged. She died under mysterious circumstances around the year 1091.
