Helene Hegemann
Helene Hegemann ( born February 19, 1992 Freiburg im Breisgau), Helene Isemeyer, is a German writer, director and actress. As a young writer she became a highly praised by literary critics for her debut novel, Axolotl Roadkill as authentic. A few months later the book was because of allegations of plagiarism again at the center of the arts section.

Life
Hegemann initially grew up with her divorced mother, a graphic artist and painter theater in Bochum. After her mother's death, she moved at age 13 to her father Carl Hegemann to Berlin. At this age, Hegemann began writing and first gained attention with her blog.
On 6 December 2007 her play Ariel 15 was premiered in Berlin at Ballhaus Ost, headed by Sebastian Mauksch. Helene Hegemann you call a piece of art fairy tale. It was implemented by Germany Radio as a radio play in 2008.
In the same year the Federal Cultural Foundation subsidized the realization of a film script, which Hegemann had written at the age of fourteen. The resulting film, Torpedo, a youth drama, in which she also directed, was premiered in 2008 at the Hof Film Festival, ran in the summer of 2009 in the German cinemas and was awarded the Max Ophüls Prize. The film is of the highest caliber with Jule Bowe, Alice Dwyer, Lars Eidinger and Caroline Peters. Catherine Hall Frank has a guest role as a therapist.
In episode film Germany 09 Hegemann played a starring role in 2009 Nico Krebitz ' contribution Unfinished where she meets Ulrike Meinhof and Susan Sontag. 2010 Hegemann's first novel Axolotl Roadkill appeared in Ullstein. The book was initially hailed as a sensation of the literary season until allegations were voiced, Hegemann had copied Airen at the Berlin blogger and author. Some formulations and passages were found to be copied, resulting in a feature - triggered controversy. Despite plagiarism the book for the Prize of the Leipzig Book Fair was nominated. The novel has been translated into numerous languages.
Hegemann, which went off after high-school diploma from the school, lives in Berlin.
