Helga Pogatschar

Helga Pogatschar ( born January 28, 1966 in Munich) is a German composer.

She completed two courses, Artistic majoring in piano and composition for film and television at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. As a guest, she studied for a year at the Academy of Music in Göteborg electroacoustic composition and then taught at the conservatories of Munich and Hamburg. She was among other things the project grant for New Music / Media and Music Award of the City of Munich 2007. 2005 /06 she was a fellow at the International Künstlerhaus Villa Concordia in Bamberg.

The Munich-based composer realized own music theater projects in which she combines new music with electronics, dance, video and performance elements. Of the projects appeared "Mars - a requiem ," " Titus Trash Tatar " and " Inanna " on CD and audio books in collaboration with the radio programs " Bayern2 radio play & Media Art " and " Bayern4 Classic ". In addition to numerous commissioned works of various genres Helga Pogatschar devotes time and again the setting of texts for children.

  • 2006 " Dream Text II ", an interactive music dance performance for a dancer, bass clarinet and trombone. Premiere in the black box, the Gasteig Munich.   • 2004 " Dream Text", an interactive dance opera with dancer and choreographer Cesc Gelabert after the eponymous prose sequence of Heiner Müller for large mixed choir, soprano, tenor solo, Vcello, percussion and dance ( as part of the international dance festival DANCE 04, Muffathalle, Munich)
  • 2002 " Inanna / The huluppu Tree", for overtone singing, soprano, mezzo- soprano, oriental percussion, organ and electronics (within the artionale, Holy Cross Church )
