Helge Lund

Helge Lund ( born October 16, 1962) is a Norwegian manager and CEO of StatoilHydro.

Lund visited in Bergen, the Norwegian School of Economics ( NHH ) and also holds an MBA from INSEAD in France.

Initially he worked as a political adviser to the Conservatives in the Norwegian Parliament and then worked as a management consultant at McKinsey before he went to Hafslund Nycomed in 1993 and there from 1997 to 1998 held the post of Managing Director of Nycomed Pharma AS.

In 1999 he moved to Aker ASA as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and in 2002, following the merger with Aker Kværner CEO of Kværner.

Lund was born on August 15, 2004 CEO of Statoil and announced on 18 December 2006 announced the merger with Norsk Hydro. The merged company is now known as StatoilHydro ASA.

Today he lives in Bærum with his wife and two children.
