Helibras

Helicópteros do Brasil ( Helibras ) is a Brazilian helicopter manufacturer and a subsidiary of European Eurocopter Group. In Brazil Helibras is the market leader.

History

The company was founded in 1978 by Aérospatiale with the local municipal government. Today, the company has a manufacturing plant in Itajubá, a training center in São Paulo and a maintenance facility in Rio de Janeiro.

Products

Helibras manufactures various civil and military Eurocopter helicopters of various classes of performance in production license. The largest model is the NH90 helicopter with 19.50 m length, the smallest of light civilian helicopter EC 120 with 9.60 m length.
