Hello Nasty is the fifth studio album by the hip- hop group the Beastie Boys. It was released in July 1998. The magazine Rolling Stone, it was one of the "Essential Recordings of the 90s ". For the piece Intergalactic the group won an award for the Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group at the Grammy Awards in 1999 for the album she won the award for Best Alternative Music Album.

History

In the four years since its predecessor, Ill Communication, the band had several EPs and compilations released. Like its two predecessors, the album with co-producer Mario Caldato Jr. was taken. Mix Master Mike came as a reinforcement to the band. The album debuted at number one in the Billboard 200.

Criticism

The website Allmusic gave the album 4.5 out of 5 stars. Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote: "The sonic adventures alone make the album noteworthy, but what makes it remarkable is how it looks to the future by looking to the past.
