Studios
Helloween (also called mini- LP) is the first publication of the German heavy metal band Helloween.
Genesis
In 1984, the band has two songs ( not re-used Oernst of Life and Metal Invaders, which was re-recorded for Walls of Jericho ) published on the sampler Death Metal. The contract with Noise International was due to the great response from the public. The mini - LP followed with Walls of Jericho 's first full album in the same year.
Music style
As on the Walls of Jericho and fast melodic style Helloweens is already fully developed. The full power ( not always accurate ) vocals by Kai Hansen helped that the songs still much harder and less cheerful sounded as on the later Keeper albums.
Versions
1986 appeared a picture disc, which as a "surprise track" contained a cover version of White Christmas. On this re-release the piece Murderer is in a remixed version. A stand-alone CD release was only available in Japan, the EP was later released along with Walls of Jericho on a CD. The five songs were also included in the The Singles Box ( 1985-1992 ). The cover of this box shows the cover of the EP.
