Hellyeah

Hellyeah is an American heavy metal rock band. Its members include Vinnie Paul, former drummer of Pantera and Damageplan, singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribett, who are also active in Mudvayne, and Tom Maxwell, the guitarist of Nothingface. Until 18 April 2007 even Jerry Montano ( Nothingface, Danzig) was part of the band. A few months after his expulsion was ( also Damageplan ) announced as a substitute Bob Zilla.

Band History

In June 2006, Vinnie Paul was first announced in an interview that he plans to form a new band. The end of October of the same year he finally gave the name of the band - Hell Yeah - and the composition of members known. In January 2007, Hellyeah recorded their debut album, was released on 26 February with You Would not Know a pre-release single, which also includes a video was shot and the number 8 in the U.S. rock charts ( Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks ) reached. On 10 April 2007 finally appeared, named after the band's album Hellyeah, which sold 45,000 copies already in the first week and debuted at number 9 of the U.S. Billboard Charts with Epic Records. A first tour with SOiL as support took place in May / June 2007. This was followed by a trip to Australia and a performance at the Download Festival in England. In the summer she took part in the Family Values ​​Tour in collaboration with Korn, Evanescence, Trivium, Atreyu and Flyleaf.

On 13 November 2007 the DVD Below the Belt was released, which featured some live footage music videos, documentaries and various interviews.

In early July 2010 brought the band out of their second studio album Stampede.

The 2012 released album with the name " Band of Brothers", attacks, according to the band more the style of the bands Pantera, Mudvayne, Damageplan and Nothingface on, so falls out much harder than the previous albums.

In 2014 the band split up by bassist Bob Zilla and guitarist Greg Tribbett from musical reasons. To this end, Kyle Sanders ( Bloodsimple ) was introduced as the new bassist. The new album Blood For Blood will be released on June 10, 2014.
