Helmut Brunner (politician)

Helmut Brunner ( born 14 September 1954 in Kötzting ) is a German politician (CSU ) and, since October 30, 2008 Minister of State for Food, Agriculture and Forestry in the Cabinet Seehofer I. The same office, he also took over the Cabinet Seehofer II

Education

From 1960 to 1969, he attended elementary school, then the vocational school, technical school and then the Landvolkshochschule. In 1976 he passed his master's examination of agriculture.

Party

Brunner is a member of the CSU since 1977. He is chairman of the CSU district rain. Since 1978 it belongs to the council of rain and was from 1978 to 2008 local council in Zachenberg. He was county chairman of his party in 1989.

Since 1994, Brunner is a member of the Bavarian Parliament. After combining vocal circles rain and Freyung -Grafenau he received a direct mandate of the common voting circuit 207 (rain, Freyung -Grafenau ) for the state legislature in 2003 and 2008. In the legislative period 2003 to 2008 he was elected Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Forestry. On 30 October 2008, he took over from Joseph Miller, the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forestry (Cabinet Seehofer I).

Relatives affair

Brunner was his wife, sister and niece from 1999 to 2009, 2008 and 2002 employed as administrative assistant and assistant in his deputy 's office. On learning of his involvement in the affair relatives, he announced to want to repay € 13,500.

2009 Brunner received the Bavarian Constitution Medal in silver.

Helmut Brunner is Roman Catholic, is married and has two children. In 1981 he took over the farm of his parents.
