Helmut Hamann

Helmut Hamann ( born August 31, 1912 in Berlin, † June 22, 1941 at Siedliszcze, Poland ) was a German athlete who won a bronze medal in Berlin at the 1936 Summer Olympics, with the German 4 x 400 -meter relay ( with Friedrich von Stülpnagel, Harry Voigt and Rudolf Harbig ) Helmut Hamann ran as first runner.

The European Athletics Championships 1934, he won the title in the 4 x 400-meter relay race (together with Hans Scheele, Harry Voigt and Adolf Metzner / Helmut Hamann as first runner ).

He started for the SV White Blue Alliance Berlin. In his playing days Hamann was 1.75 m tall and 62 kg. Helmut Hamann fell during the Second World War as a shooter and is at the memorial cemetery in Poland Włodawa (single grave 794 ) buried.
