Helmut Yström

Helmut Yström ( born March 9, 1881 in Güstrow, † June 11, 1963 in Cologne ) was a German teacher, police officer, politician ( CDU) and Senator of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.

Biography

Education and work

Yström was after visiting the elementary school and a teachers' college elementary school teacher. After his military service in the First World War, he was from 1919 until his retirement in 1937, police officer in Bremen. He rose in the hierarchy of the police in the higher service. He was then in the field of industries.

After the Second World War, he was by the occupation authorities as Chief of Police Wesermünde (today Bremerhaven ) and in the fall of 1945 in Bremen. In 1947 he was placed in the wait state and 1948 to retire. His successor as head of the Bremen Police Department was Franz yet (SPD).
