Hemipenthes morio is a fly from the family of Wollschweber ( Bombyliidae ).

Features

The flies reach a body length of 5 to 14 mm. Your body has a dark coloration is dark and scaly and hairy. The wings are colored black at the basal part, transparent to tip the color is defined zigzag.

Occurrence and life

The species is distributed from western Europe and North Africa to southern Siberia. Like most other members of the genus Hemipenthes live larvae hyperparasitisch and develop at Tachinidae ( Tachinidae ), which in turn develop into caterpillars.
