Hemsut

The Hemsut or Hemuset put in the mythology of ancient Egypt, the female counterpart of Kas dar.

They are represented as women who wear a crossed sign with two arrows on her head, and corresponds to the crest of the fifth nome of Lower Egypt Sais (northern Neith - district). The sign itself is the name of the associated Kas, such as the Ka - beings Hike, Hu, Sia, and others.

Like their male partners would create Hemsut the food for the life force and give, as mentioned in the pyramid texts, their care wards power and magical protection ( Pyramid Text 396 ). In her role as guardian deities are thus fate deities who take the newborn king child in her arms.
