The Henan University (Chinese河南 大学, Henan Daxue ) is a company incorporated in 1912, state university in the People's Republic of China. It is headquartered in Kaifeng, a prefecture-level city in the Chinese province of Henan.

History

It was originally named The Preparatory School for Further Study in Europe and America, after which it was renamed several times: Zhongzhou University ( 1923), Henan Zhongshan University ( 1927), Henan Provincial University ( 1930), Henan National University (1942 ), Henan Teachers College ( 1953), Kaifeng Teachers College (1956 ), Henan Teachers University ( 1979), and since May 1984 Henan University.

Schools and study

The Henan University currently has 26 colleges and 11 departments, 29 institutes, 12 departments and 72 research institutes. She accepts students for 72 undergraduate programs, 176 master programs and 16 doctoral programs.

The Henan University is among the universities around 41,000 students and 3,600 academic staff.
