Henares River

The Henares is located in Spain and is a tributary of the River Jarama. It rises in the Sierra Ministra, near the town Siguenza, in the province of Guadalajara.

Its name derives from the Spanish word henar from, which means something like " hay field " means, as originally much agricultural crops ( grain, hay ) was in the area through which the flowing Henares operated. Its tributaries are the Torote, the Sorb and Bornova.
