Hendrick Zwaardecroon

Hendrick Zwaardecroon (also Henricus Zwaardecroon ) (* January 26, 1667 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands; † August 12, 1728 in Batavia (now Jakarta ), Dutch East Indies ) was 1718-1725 Governor General of the Dutch East Indies.

After the death of Christoffel van Swoll Zwaardecroon was appointed on 12 November 1718 Governor-General of the colony. Only two years later the appointment was confirmed. During his tenure, he would have to deal with unrest in Batavia.
