Hendrik Ooms

Hendrik " Henk " Ooms ( born March 18, 1916 in Halfweg, † December 6, 1993 in The Hague) was a Dutch racing cyclist.

1936 started Henk Ooms at the Olympic Games in Berlin in tandem race and won together with Bernard Leene the silver medal. The following year he was at the track world championships in Ordrup third in the sprint of the amateurs. 1938 and 1939 he won also the national title in the sprint of the amateurs, 1944, he was second in the pros.

The father of Henk Ooms, Willem Ooms, launched at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp in track races over 50 km, but gave up.
