Henk Kuijpers

Henk Kuijpers ( born December 10, 1946 in Haarlem ) is a Dutch comic artist and author. In German-speaking countries it is mainly through the series Franka, which first appeared in Carlsen, and later with Epsilon, are known.

Kuijpers originally studied sociology, but decided after graduation to become a cartoonist. His first stories published in magazines Pep and Baberiba. His story The Crime Museum ( "Het misdaadmuseum " ) was published in the years 1974/1975 of pizzazz. Based on the positive reactions of the readers who demanded a sequel, he developed one of the main characters on ( Franka ) of this story, what hallmark was the birth of Kuijpers.

On 11 January 2010 was honored by January Kruis as a writer for " Grootste Strip hero van Nederland ' ( Greatest comic artist in the Netherlands ), Henk Kuijpers in Amsterdam.
