Henk Timmer (footballer)

Henk Timmer ( born December 3, 1971 in Hierden ) is a Dutch former football goalkeeper, who was active for Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie. He guarded the gate seven times the Dutch national team.

Career

Henk Timmer began his career in the 1989/90 season in the Dutch second division, the Eerste Divisie, the PEC Zwolle. On 12 November 2005, he made ​​his debut in the game against Italy for the national team of the Netherlands. He denied until November 2008, six more games for the Dutch. As with the 2006 World Cup he heard at the European Championships 2008 on the three goalkeepers in the squad of Oranje Oranje, but was not used at both tournaments. By the end of the 2008/09 season he was behind Edwin van der Sar and Maarten Stekelenburg in the squad.
