Henning Kagermann

Kagermann ( born July 12, 1947 in Braunschweig ) is a German physicist and manager.

Life

Kagermann studied physics at the Technical University of Munich. After graduating in 1972 he became a graduate student at the Technical University of Braunschweig, where he received his doctorate in 1975 and in 1980 qualified as a professor of theoretical physics. The TU Braunschweig appointed Kagermann adjunct professor of theoretical physics.

Kager man is a father of three.

Professional career

From 1982 he was responsible for the Walldorf software company SAP GmbH, the development departments costing and project controlling. In 1991 he was appointed to the board of the now converted to a stock corporation SAP AG. As an SAP founder Hasso Plattner joined the Supervisory Board in May 2003, Kager man was the sole CEO. End of May 2009, he resigned in the SAP.

Since June 2009, Kagermann President of Acatech. Kagermann also sits on the board of Wipro Technologies, the BMW Group, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Post, the Munich Re and Nokia.

Kager man passes the control circuit of the " innovation dialogue" between the federal government, industry and academia. Since 2010, Kager man is also spokesman for the promoter group communication the Research Union Economy - Science (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) to the development of High-Tech Strategy 2020.

3 May 2010 Kager man took over the management of the National Platform for Electric Mobility. The network is made up of industry representatives, politicians and scientists, and to coordinate the development of electric cars in Germany.
