Henning Solberg

Henning Solberg (born 8 January 1973) is a Norwegian sports car and rally drivers.

Career

Henning Solberg started his career as a racing driver in some Bilcross competitions and during Rallycross. After he had become in 1992, 93 and 94 Norwegian RX- runner, could win the Nordic RX- Cup 1994 and the FIA European Rallycross in 1995 with a 12th place overall in the Group N Division completed, he switched to rallying.

Solberg drives in the World Rally Championship since 1998. He had bought into the 2004 season for seven world championship races in the Bozian Racing Team and was driving a Peugeot 206 WRC, with whom he was sixth at the Rally Sweden. For the World Rally Championship in 2005 Henning Solberg joined the BP Ford World Rally Team and contested as the third man again seven self-financed World Championship races, this time with a Ford Focus RS WRC. At the World Rally Championship in 2006 Solberg returned to Bozian Racing and participated for the OMV Peugeot Norway World Rally Team in a Peugeot 307 WRC on a total of 12 of the 16 World Rally Championship races. The World Rally Championship 2007, he also played with a Ford Focus WRC.

The biggest successes Solberg is a 3rd place in the Rally of Turkey in 2006 and one 3rd place in the Rally of Norway and the Rally Japan 2007. 's World Rally Championship 2009, he achieved two third places in Argentina and Poland. In the Rally of Great Britain 2011, he was the third and finished the season in ninth place.

From 2012 to 2014 Henning Solberg drove a few rallies, but not a full season more.

Personal

Henning Solberg lives just 50 kilometers east of Oslo located in Norway Spydeberg in Østfold. He is married and has two children. Henning Solberg is the older brother almost two years of World Rally Champion Petter Solberg in 2003.
