Henri-André Laperrière

Henri -André Laperrière ( born June 12, 1925 in Montreal, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.

Career

Henri -André Laperrière began his career as a hockey player with the Verdun Terriers, for which he was active in the season 1944/45, in the Quebec Junior Hockey League. He subsequently played for six years for the University of Montreal Carabins, where he ended his career in 1950. In 1948 he represented Canada in addition as a guest player with the RCAF Flyers at the Winter Olympics. In order to play for the military team, he was accepted as a private in the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Internationally

For Canada Laperrière participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 partly in St. Moritz, where he won the gold medal with his team. In eight games, he scored a goal and an assist each.
