Henri Buisson

Henri Buisson ( born July 15, 1873 in Paris, † January 6, 1944 in Marseille) was a French physicist.

Henri Buisson received his doctorate in 1901 in Paris. From 1914 to 1943 he was a professor at the University of Marseille. He was a corresponding member of the Institut de France.

Charles Fabry and Henri Buisson regarded as the discoverer of the ozone layer, as they were able to demonstrate ozone at higher layers of the atmosphere in 1913 by UV spectroscopic measurements for the first time.
