Henri Joseph Anastase Perrotin

Henri Joseph Anastase Perrotin ( born December 19, 1845 † February 29, 1904 ) was a French astronomer.

Perrotin was from 1884 until his death, director of the Observatoire de Nice ( Nice Observatory ). He led in particular observations of the planet Mars, determined the rotation period of Venus and calculated the perturbations of the asteroid Vesta. In his honor, the asteroid ( 1515) Perrotin was named after him.
