Henri Rochereau

Henri Rochereau (born 25 March 1908 in Chantonnay; † 25 January 1999, Paris) was a French politician. He was European Commissioner.

From 1949 to 1959 he was a member of the French Senate for the department of Vendée and General Council for the canton of Les Essarts. He was on May 28, 1959 to August 24, 1961 Minister of Agriculture in the government of Michel Debré.

From 1962 to 1970 he was Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid of the European Economic Community ( to 1967) and then of the European Communities.

From 1970 to 1986 he was president of the association of the major French ports.
