Henri Weber

Henri Weber ( born June 23, 1944 in Leninabad, now Khujand ) is a French politician of the Socialist Party.

Life

Weber studied philosophy and political science. He belonged to the activists of May 1968 in Paris and the Trotskyist Revolutionary Communist League, before he became a member of the Parti Socialiste. From 1988 to 1995 Weber was deputy mayor of Saint- Denis. From 1995 to 2004 Weber was a senator in the Senate of France. Since 2004, Weber has been a deputy in the European Parliament.

In the period from 2009 to 2014 Weber is a member of the Committee on International Trade and in the Delegation to the ACP -EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly. As a deputy, he is on the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, Committee on Legal Affairs and the Delegation for relations with the People's Republic of China.
