Henrik Andersen

Henrik Andersen ( born May 7, 1965 in Amager ) is a former Danish football player.

Career

Andersen played primarily at left-back and left-sided midfielder. He left How many Danish football player as a young player his Danish home and played from 1982 to 1990 for the Belgian tradition club RSC Anderlecht. The German coach of the Danish national team, Sepp Piontek nominated him for the squad for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. For the season 1990/1991 he came to the first FC Cologne. For the Cologne he played until his retirement in late 1998 in 125 Bundesliga games and scored five goals.

However, his time in Cologne by numerous injuries and longer breaks was coined. The worst injury he retired with his greatest success as a footballer to: In the semifinals of the European Championship in Sweden in 1992 against the Netherlands, he broke his kneecap and then paused for months. His teammates were winning the European Championship in the subsequent final against Germany. In Copenhagen, the team was then celebrated in a motorcade and Andersen down with a leg cast through the crowd.

Private

With his move to Belgium in 1982, he was also settled there. Even after joining the 1st FC Cologne, he retained his residence in Belgium, when he moved from the Brussels area to neighboring Eupen. His son Kristoffer Andersen ( born 1985 ) is self- footballer and currently plays in the German regional lists Fortuna Köln.
