Henrique Rosa

Henrique Pereira Rosa [ ẽɾikɨ pɨ'ɾɐi̯ɾɐ ɾɔzɐ ] (* January 18, 1946, † 15 May 2013) from 2003 to 2005, President of Guinea- Bissau.

Life

Pink was in 1994 president of the electoral commission in the presidential elections in which João Bernardo Vieira was re-elected for the third time.

The military government, which held office after the fall of President Kumba IALA on 14 September 2003 under the chairmanship of Veríssimo Correia Seabra, Rosa began as interim president on 28 September 2003. Rosa was previously a businessman and initially unwilling to accept the post.

On March 28, 2004 free parliamentary elections were held and on June 19, 2005 presidential elections, in which the former head of state IALA Sanhá and Vieira took part. Sanhá won the first ballot, the second ballot Sanhá was beaten by Viera on 24 July 2005.

The official handover of Rosa Viera took place on 1 October 2005.
