Henry Flynt

Henry Flynt ( born 1940 in Greensboro, North Carolina ) is an American avant-garde artist whose diverse activities extend to philosophy, mathematics, economics, music and visual arts.

Flynt is brought into connection with the art movements conceptual art and Fluxus. In 1961 he coined the term concept art. As a temporary member of a sectarian group left, he fought the institutions of bourgeois culture such as museums and opera houses.
