Henry H. Neff

Henry H. Neff ( born September 21, 1973 in Massachusetts) is an American author.

Life

Neff was born in Massachusetts, the son of two art historians. Four years later his family moved to a suburb of Chicago. Because of his family environment, he read a lot and learned early the Greek and Norse mythology know. When he was about eleven years old dropped him a book on Celtic mythology into the hands that fascinated him because of the differences from the Greek mythology. In addition, he drew and wrote a lot. Neff studied history at New Trier High School in Winnetka (Illinois ) and at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. At first he thought then to complete a law degree, but instead took a job as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He left this company after five years and was a history teacher at Stuart Hall High School in San Francisco. A few years later he began to write his first book. This is the first part of the series School of Mages (engl: The Tapestry ), which he wrote as an author and illustrated himself. In this series, four books have already been published. The fifth volume was originally published in October 2013. The date was moved to the end of 2014 but, as the author in his own words was not finished with the manuscript.

Neff is married, lives in Brooklyn, New York City and has a son, who was born 2013. These Neff wrote jokingly in his blog, " He was so impatient to read a draft of The Red Winter, Hey Decided to arrive 5 weeks early. " ( German: "He was so impatient to read the draft of The Red Winter, that he decided 5 weeks too early to come. " )
