Henry Hensche

Henry Hensche ( born February 25, 1899 in Germany; † 10 December 1992 Gray ( Louisiana), USA ) was an American painter.

He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and taught from 1927 along with Charles Hawthorne at its own school of Impressionist landscape painting, the Cape Cod School of Art After Hawthorne's death in 1930 Hensche founded his own school with the same name. His teachings focused on an intense color perception within the meaning of the Impressionists. Hensche painted mostly landscapes and still lifes.
