Henry Herbert, 4th Earl of Carnarvon

Life

Herbert was born in Grosvenor Square in London, the eldest son of Henry Herbert, 3rd Earl of Carnarvon, and his wife Henrietta Anne, daughter of Lord Henry Howard - Molyneux - Howard. Auberon Herbert was his brother. He attended Eton College and then studied at Christ Church College, Oxford. In 1849 he inherited when his father died its title.
