Henry I, Count of Guelders

Henry I of funds (* in 1117, † 27 May or September 10, 1182 ) was Count of funds and Zutphen.

He was the son of Count Gerhard II von Geldern ( † 1131 ) and Ermgard of Zutphen († 1138 ). From his father he inherited the county funds, from his mother's county of Zutphen.

He pushed by clearing a large wedge in the diocese of Utrecht area, but had to Dutch pressure towards an alliance with the city of Utrecht ad against the bishop.

To 1135, he married Agnes von Arnstein, their son and heir was Count Otto I of funds.

Henry is buried in Kamp Monastery.
