Henry II, Duke of Limburg

Henry II of Lower Lorraine (* 1110, † August 1167 in Rome) was Duke of Limburg.

1135 he married Matilda of Saffenberg (* 1120, † January 2, 1145 ). His second wife he married Laurette of Flanders, daughter of Dietrich of Alsace. From the first marriage comes Henry III. of Limburg (* 1140, † July 21, 1221 Rolduc ), the 1167 Sophia from Saarbruecken ( * 1155, † 1226 ) ( daughter of Simon I of Saarbrücken) marries, and Margarethe von Limburg (∞ Godfrey III of Leuven. ).

From Henry II the family is no longer the name of the Dukes of Lower Lorraine but Dukes of Limburg. Heinrich led this title from 1139 to 1167.
