Henry Richardson Labouisse, Jr.

Henry Richardson Labouisse, Jr. (* February 11, 1904, † 25 March 1987 ) was an American lawyer and diplomat.

Labouisse went his profession as a lawyer in New York City to before he was acting under the Marshall Plan for the UN Relief and Works Administration ( UNRWA). Between 1962 and 1965 he served as United States Ambassador in Greece. Since June 1965 Labouisse held the chair of UNICEF. He led this office until December 1979. Labouisse said the welfare of children is inextricably linked to the future peace.

1954 married Labouisse Ève Curie, who was a writer and advisor to the Secretary General of NATO.
