Henry Thomas (Boxer)

Albert Henry Thomas ( born July 1, 1888 in Birmingham, England; † January 13, 1963 in New York ) was a British boxer.

Thomas joined took at the Summer Olympics in 1908 bantamweight. In the final of the competition, he was able to prevail against John Condon and win the gold medal.

A year after his Olympic victory, he moved to the United States, apart from a trip to England in 1947 where he remained for the rest of his life. In World War I he served in the United States Navy. He held the U.S. citizenship.
