Henry Travers

Henry Travers, Travers actually John Heagerty, ( born March 5, 1874 in Berwick -upon- Tweed, Northumberland, England; † October 18, 1965 in Hollywood, California ) was a British film and stage actor, who worked in Hollywood. Life and career

The son of an Irish doctor was born as Travers John Heagerty in the British county of Northumberland. Initially, he trained as an architect before he began by his stage name Henry Travers, to work as an actor. When he moved to the U.S. in 1917, he had in his home country a long and successful career.
