Henschel Hs 127

The Henschel Hs 127 was a German Quick bomber aircraft Henschel -Werke AG.

The aircraft was designed in 1937 as a twin-engined fast bomber and was a cantilever low-wing light metal construction with retractable landing gear normal. The Hs 127 was powered by two DB 600 D engines with 950 hp. Only two test samples were produced until 1938, with the V-1 on a flight suffered a fracture. The third prototype V -3 was not completed.

However, given that DB 600 engines proved unreliable in other aircraft types, the installation of more powerful and upgraded with fuel injection type engine DB 601 was provided.

Due to the high speed has been waived defensive armament. The machine had an external and tactical similarity to the basic design of the later very successful de Havilland Mosquito.
