Henschel Hs 298

The Henschel Hs 298 was a projected German rocket fighter, now called air - to-air missile, during the Second World War.

Based on the recent developments of remote missiles, such as the Henschel Hs 293, Hs 298 was designed as a controlled air combat missile. Was powered rocket from a solid rocket motor. The control successes with the radio set FuG 206/FuG 232 via radio command guidance with a maximum range of 1.5 km. Due to the low range, especially in comparison to Kramer X-4, the project was abandoned in early 1945.
