Heo Mok
Heo Mok ( 허목 ,许 穆, * 1595 or 1593 in Hanseong, † April 27, 1682 ) was a Korean politician and neokonfuzianischer Daoist philosopher, painter and poet. He lived in the center Gyeonggi- dos in the famous district Yuncheon. His nicknames were Misu ( 미수 ,眉 叟) Taeryungroin ( 태령 노인 ,台 领 老人) and Sukhojangin ( 석호 장인 ,石 户 丈人).
Life
Heo Mok was born in Hanseong the son of a lower officials in 1593 or 1595. In 1613 he married. He was then to 1620 students of Jeong Gu. In 1658 he became leader of the South Group ( 남인 ) and rival of Song Si - yeol of the West Group ( 서인 ). In 1675 he was Minister and Deputy Prime Minister ( 1675-1678 ) of the Joseon Dynasty.
